I have found a great quote on prayer from the famous writer John Bunyan -- “Prayer will make a man cease from sin, or sin will entice a man to cease from prayer.”
That is so true! And even non-Christians (albeit one that studied Christianity a great deal) have some fine insights on prayer. Mahatma Gandhi wrote: “Prayer is not asking. It is a longing of the soul. It is daily admission of one's weakness. It is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without a heart."
Finally, I found this from the great philosopher Søren Kierkegaard "Prayer does not change God, but it changes him who prays."
Please pray for the churches. Pray for the sessions, pray for the people, pray for the outreaches and programs. And please continue to pray for the sick, the elderly, the shut-ins, as well as the children and the youth. Pray for our nation, its troops, the economy, people's finances, and the poor and hurting and underprivileged. Please pray for the ones who still need to know Jesus as Lord and Savior, the lost who need to find themselves in Him.
God's love to you, dear prayer partners! Keep praying. Keep smiling for Jesus.
IN CHRIST, Pastor Glenn Wilson

Here you will find inspiration and encouragement for your prayer life. Prayer is the great gift of God to us. Make use of it often. It is supernatural lightning in the Book. It is the Holy Spirit partnering with you. It is how you touch the face of God.
